The famous alizee trade wind was blowing in well, disguising a temperature in the high 20’s, and I was glad to get back to the cool luxury of the hotel later in the afternoon, finally venturing out to the beach for a pub meal and beer in a beach bar. It gets quick dark fast and early here, but the infamous sunset didn’t perform tonight due to a layer of low cloud over the horizon.

... luxury, so the Ryad Mogador it is. Andie swears it has four stars, but I insist it’s three plus an A, even though a nice chap in a uniform unloaded my things from my bike and took them to my room. As much as I’d like to chat to travellers on the camp site (if there are any this early in the season that is), a clean room with a bath and TV wins tonight.

... and comfortable town. As much as we loved our parking lot right at the edge of the medina, we have had to move 2 kms south to the campground in order to stock up on electricity, water, showers, clean clothes and the porta potty was just about as full as the water tank was empty. Funny how that works!

... military fort, so many of the remnants of the fort still remain. The old medina is rather small and easy to navigate, and the sellers are not terribly pushy. (unlike Fes). I spent the morning wandering the town soaking in the relaxed seaside vibe. Along the seaside are numerous huts that sell fresh seafood.
