Maria then wrote an autobiography of which the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical and 1965 movie with Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews are fictionalized accounts. The current Trapp Family Lodge replaced the original inn after it burned down in 1980 and is still owned by members of the Von Trapp family.
