... through the breathtaking Great Smoky Mountains, and my are they great! We reached over 5,000ft altitude and went from a warm day to snow on the roads within minutes ... very odd. Clearly a popular ski location, there was chalet after chalet. We drove on (with DP's Greatest Hits blastin', obvs) and finally reached what we thought would be a quaint town. How wrong we were! It's like Blackpool! We checked into our hotel, and hit the sack.
