... it was just a tad larger. It looked full and we thought we'd have to catch the next one...and then 60 more people shoved on so what the hell! The bus was leaning to the right, there were so many people crammed in to the far side. We couldn't hold on but it didn't matter, we were so tightly packed no one moved anyway. At the first stop enough people got off so it was still full but not leaning. It started raining pretty hard by the time we got back in ...

... double parking). My imagination had every thief in Venice helping themselves to the boot load of gear we had planned to leave behind. To minimise this problem we loaded ourselves to the max with luggage (still left a bootful) and proceeded to walk to our hotel 'just a short distance away'. What a nightmare- 2 clueless tourists were sitting ducks for a 'helpful' young local lad (with bad teeth and body odour, bless him) who INSISTED on carrying ...

Wednesday 4/12 Up much too early considering the temperature, but just right for seeing Venice, I caught a bus into town with a map and a plan - not that either were of much use where I was going. Lost within about 5 minutes, I quite happily wandered my way through the streets to the Accademia Bridge and St Mark’s Square, where stands the magnificent St Mark’s Church and the bell-tower, along with the huge Doge's Palace. The square and surrounding streets were populated ...

... boast of "fine renovated rooms"
not our's I'm afraid. There's the wardrobe that has a very distinct lean to the left,.. it just follows the floor lean.
But is adequate and is in a very good location.
More later,I'm tired.
It's morning ..7.23, breakfast 5 min away and delivered to the room, this should be interesting!
I've turned the air con off to have a rest from the noise, but the room is already warming up...another hot day on the way.
We hope to get out ...
