So we had decided to make the most of our last day on the Firenze Card and did 4 venues. We started with the Palazzo Vecchio. This is a museum setup in the palace with many religious artifacts and ceiling artwork. It also has a tower - which we climbed. The tower is 95 m high with excellent views. Our next stop was the Museo Nazionale del Bargello. This musum houses porcelain, ivories, bonzes, jewels and furniture from the Medicis and ...

... All and all a very good trip and we caught a quick taxi to our hotel. Once cleaned up we headed out for lunch and walked the town. There are beautiful streets in Florence, narrow cobblestone streets with shops and markets. We even found a street with Gucci, Prada, Dolce, Burbury, Armani, Tiffany, etc... the list goes on, as did we because we can't afford that stuff! The weather was still stifling so we did our mid afternoon break and showered to feel better. Jenny was the nap ...

We all took group pictures around the setting sun, and Holly and I had some pictures taken of just us. We walked back to the train station - roughly a 30 min walk; back down the stairs and through the city. All in a day's work.Everything worked out well and we're excited for the journey.

... There are a ton of museums here. It's def a city to visit if you're into art. We walked around and saw some statues outside, including a replica of Michael Angelo's famous David statue. We also went and looked at the duomo which was impressive. It's really huge. And I haven't seen a church similar. It has coloured tiles all over the outside, which are so beautiful. Again, like every city we've been to, it's off season so there's scaffolding up with repairs and maintenance being ...

After getting up and having breakfast we made our way to the train station which we then took to The Leaning Tower of Pisa. The tower was cool because one of the sides has sunk down into the ground making it crooked. It is also ironic that the tower started to fall at the same time the government did. Our group decided to not climb the tower because it was an extra 15 euros that we hadn't planned ...
