We're staying in a 16C old farmhouse on the outskirts of the city which has been converted into 7 apartments. Ours, the smallest, has the kitchen and dining area in the cellar and the bedroom, bathroom and lounge room on the ground floor. It is only 10 minutes on a bus into the city, so really quite convenient.

Ok, I'll take it! Those are the words I was anticipating all day as it was our big shopping day. But Mother Nature had other plans. ... 30 minutes, so we were able to grab a quick snack before getting on the final leg to Florence, which was a quick 1.5 hours due to getting up to a top speed of 296 KM per hour. I knew the scenery was flying past, but didn't realize we were on a bullet train until Ken pointed out the speed on the monitor above our heads.

Arriving to the Florence train station was a vastly different experience than our leaving Murren earlier in the morning. ...

... Dinner was good. Pasta, meat and dessert. Just like always but the waiters this time were so cute. After dinner the restaurant is connected to the hotel and so we had a dance party. We danced from songs ranging from Queen to the Cotton Eye Joe. Tomorrow is a day on our own in Florence. I'm still working on pics. I'm sorry but it kind of looks like it will have to wait until I have access to a computer but I'll keep ...
