... the Pisa monument who had just returned to the bus for their ride to the hotel.

An hour later we dragged ourselves up the most gorgeous hill in Tuscany to Hotel Villa Saulina. Quite a big adventure for us. We dined in an outdoor patio overlooking the olive trees and vineyards, we took a night swim under the stars, shared a bottle of chianti we bought in town with Georgia and collapsed in bed (a huge upgrade from the previous evenings bunks on the train couchette!). ...

... were going to be staying for the next three days. It turned out that we got a whole bed and breakfast to ourselves. And the rooms were so much nicer then the other apartment we stayed at. By this stage we needed to get back to an area that we were ...

After getting lost and going in circles on the bus for over an hour we finally made it back into the central part of Florence and walked home. According to the Fiorentina fight song, "Victory will always be ours", which was definitely shown tonight by the win against Verona by a whopping 4-3!

We had our concierge book us into the Uffizi Museum as we had been told it can have long lines of people waiting to get in. So we were booked in at 10:45. Great, it meant we could have a nice leisurely breakfast of croissants, bread and coffee before making our way into town. Unfortunately Anna (the Aussie girl who we met serving us breakfast on our first morning) was off for the next 3 days and so our morning coffee was terrible! Aussies do make good coffee. It was a bit of ...
