We boarded the barge after a 15 minute walk from the Mechelen train station. Our 1st day is a day outing in Brussels, I guess we get to see some of the sites we did not get to. 14 people are on this trip, some Aussies, some Italians and us (Americans, party of 6). We went site seeing the town centre and climbed a 538 stair cathedral tower to take some photos over the town. Back on the barge, we are getting ready for supper and the evenings ...

... of undid his zipper into my glass and I wouldn’t have known the difference. But it was a good way to spend a few hours in one of the oldest brewery’s in Belgium for only 6 euros.

Sorry I cant write much more. You really have to look at the pictures to see how good everything looked.. Its a pity you cant taste the waffles though! We will have another Christmas blog coming soon.

... die for!! We passed by Brussels' famous "peeing boy" statue....much ado about nothing, was quite small, but when in Brussels, you must do all those touristy things!! For instance at one point the guys finally found one of the outdoor urinals that they had heard about. ... entered wanted us to bargain for a ring neither of us liked that much. Many shops also have locked doors and you have to ring a bell to enter. We decided in the end that none were really that appealing so we concluded that it was best to leave the diamonds in Antwerp. They were heavily crusted with diamonds – almost over the top or the opposite, extremely small.
