Arrived in Mechelen 6.35pm. We met Faisal outside the station. (Got a bit of a shock - he was very badly scarred on his face & arms) He was very friendly & showed us on the way to the house different places we could get take-away or dinner from & the 2 supermarkets nearby. He offered that we could ring him on the weekend & that he may be able to drop us off at some places & that on Monday that he could take us ...

We flew into Brussels, Belgium. It was about 4 in the morning for us. It's hard to sleep on a plane. We had to find the car we leased that was dèlivered to the airport. So, there it was in the corner of an underground parking lot. We knew it was small and we tried to travel light, but we had some difficulty squeezing everything in. ...

I decided I wouldn't head to Antwerp as I wasn't feeling in the mood for big cities as they are just too exhausting so I decided to visit Mechelen instead. It was still raining but this time I sensibly put on a coat. Again I parked right in the middle underneath the main square but there wasn't really much to look at. The square was pretty enough and there was a cathedral with a very tall square spire thing but the inside was ...
