... had a lot in common.) After this, they took us back to their house. Tish is a landscape gardener so you can imagine, her garden was a haven of flora and fauna. It was a bit weather beaten from the tempestuous storms and heavyweight snow but it was really lovely. We also met their mad-as-a-march-hare dog who was just absolutely gorgeous and completely bonkers!! We all took him out for a walk to a nearby beach. On the way Tish and Adam drove us around the island a little ...
Seattle, Washington, United States mrsdp... ll land with my head in the toilet. Oh, and you can sit on the stool and brush your teeth at the same time. What a time saver! LOL I spent a couple hours out on deck as we were leaving the dock. It was so beautiful and peaceful and the movement of the ship is very relaxing. My room steward is Fidel and he seems nice. Actually, everyone on the ship except for one ...

Seattle, Washington, United States davidreichman... around. It was really cold, pretty empty, and the perfect environment for some "I'm adopted and returning to this strange place where I was abandoned 30 years ago" navel gazing. Luckily I think I got the navel gazing out of the way that one day and moved on to sheer terror. I went to the tourist information office, and they told me how to get to Samnye. It's about 45 minutes away by city bus. I was worried about how I ...
Port Orchard, Washington, United States minhee... only available to tourists and gives fantastic rates, so I was eager to get to the big T. I was unsure about whether I should go to Tokyo, since it is a little far north to make it perfectly convenient to go to. However, I had recently read that Tokyo had unofficially been designated the best food city in the world, thanks to its ratings in the Michelin guide, so this tipped the scales in my decision to visit it. So is Tokyo the best ...
Port Orchard, Washington, United States minhee... consisted of one book on the Greek Islands and a game of Connect 4, but this didn't really effect things that much. In the dinner car we met some great people and some real characters including a middle aged woman from L.A who said she was no longer scared of the city, well not much anyway, and in particular an elderly woman. It's communal seating so we sit down opposite this woman ...

Port Orchard, Washington, United States completelykate... trip. Still, I hope that it's not something I'm going to have to deal with every flight. Long layover in MN (thank heavens for the passport snafu, since it killed a good hour of time and makes a terrif story!) and then a flight to Seattle that I don't remember, since I was zonked out the entire time. Holli picked us up at the crowded airport - our bags even came in properly - and now it's off to bed, this European odyssey concluded. Peace and much love to all of you.
Seattle, Washington, United States dejulio... one person playing one instrument. Pepe pounded the surface of the guitar with his right palm while he played a slow beat with his thumb and index finger, a super fast melody with his three remaining fingers, all while his left hand plucked a harmony and chose the notes for both things he was doing with his right hand. It sounded like a lead, rhythm, and bass guitar accompanied by a drummer...four instruments in one! Jesus ...
Seattle, Washington, United States brettski... that flooded the streets downtown. Chewy and I were whistled at in our little skirts but I paid no attention. We decided to visit the Pike's Place Market and we saw millions of cool shops leading up to the market. We had limited time, and it was hard to choose which places to visit. We chose to go into a costume shop and look at the many funky sunglasses that adorned their shelves. The next shop was Indian jewelry and henna paint. We bought a hand ...
