... We had a weird tasting before our meal, all the things they use to make in the early days. I tried the six tastings, I have eaten everything from cheese made inside dead pigs guts, marrow from the pigs trotter, all the organs, birch beer, I forget all the others. I gagged a few times but was determined to try it all. If I wake up dead tomorrow I will know I have been poisoned. Was the best fun though, a lot of the guys chickened out before us ...

Our driver and friend, Bill Krouse, picked us up at home and drove us to Dulles Airport in Virginia. We left home about 2:30 pm and arrived at Dulles Airport at about 5:00 pm. The traffic wasn't too bad. We ate dinner at Old Dominion Brewing Company in the airport. The next stop is ...

DAY 16 - REST DAY IN RED LION

After another great sleep and breakfast with Russ we headed to the shops to pick up my new Ralph Lauren 4071 reading glasses from Lens Crafters in York.

We had a very restful day afternoon. Amy was back at work and we just needed a bit of a rest after our fabulous road trip.

We met Amy at her Mum and Dads's place, June & Dick for dinner. June had prepared the most tender, sweet and ...

A travel blog entry by peter-linda on Sep 05, 2014

Up early for breakfast.. Russ and Amy were picking us up at our Hotel around 10am. Went for a walk after breakfast as Peter wanted to buy a Baltimore T-Shirt. All the shops were closed.. Probably open at 10am. Not sure. So went to the Renaissance Hotel for a cappuccino.

Russ and Amy arrived and we all drove to Annapolis, a very pretty town/village on the harbour.
We visited The US Naval Academy which is stationed in Annapolis. Many naval personnel ...

Well, time has come and tomorrow we leave for Chiang Mai, Thailand. There is always so much to do before departure. In preparation for this course we had to attend several meetings and complete TONS of paperwork. As the course director I have to register everyone with the US Embassy, transfer money, assist with the itinerary, arrange flight arrangements, prepare and deliver the course through the on-line learning management ...
