      ... and then visited awhile. I attended Ripon College for the first 2 years of college, and now my brother teaches marketing there! Small world. We stopped at the library so we could see a model of the Bismarck that he built - out of paper!!!!! Every single bit except the rigging, which is quilting thread, is paper!!! Amazing!!

      ... the difficulties of flying a canard design off a 1,300' (no typo!) grass strip. For comparison, I get very nervous if I have to fly off a smooth, paved strip less than 3,000' long.

      ... an hour setting up our tent and tying down the plane. The ground is baked hard like a brick, and it took me many tries to put in our plane's tie-down stakes, which look like big corkscrews, into the ground. We also set up our tent and got everything squared away before setting out to walk the show.
