Heading out of the hotel we walked to the pier on the river Chao Phraya and boarded a long boat. It was great to have the wind rushing past us, to watch local people living along the banks of the river and to see temples spread along the way. We stopped outside one temple and were provided with loaves of bread to feed ... Catfish!! Not what I was expecting but there they were. They fought past each other to devour it - 'bread piranhas' ...

... the place was packed. Full of a mix of locals and tourists. The bar was unique and all the music was from old MTV video tapes. This meant there was some quality old school tunes. The place was very popular being unable to move. We all got more drinks in and started to chatting to each other and whoever else was there. A pretty crazy first night out in Bangkok. This morning we flew the short distance from Koh Samui back to Bangkok. After lunch the sightseeing that I had planned was out voted in favour or spending time by the rooftop pool at our hotel.
