We were very happy to arrive in Bangkok, we instantly got hassled by taxi drivers who told us our hotel was a long way away so ripped us off, but in fact it backfired on him as he took us to the wrong place on the other side of town and then had to take us to the right place. My second time to Bangkok and Marks first. A buzzling city full of street stalls, night markets, restaurants and shops. Luckily the protests all seem to have calmed down a bit and unless you wander to the protest areas you really wouldn't know it is happening.
