The Med

... a good place to start our Euro Rail pass since it is towards to bottom of the boot. In our travels people haven’t had too many nice things to say about Naples. Sure it is the home of Pizza, which we indulged in our first night here (and it was delicious) but there isn’t a lot to do or see and for some reason the streets are riddled with garbage, broken windows and graffiti. A LOOOOONG day
... like the back wall painting that was done years after the ceiling, though Matt didn't mind it. We both liked how much of a cheeky character Michaelangelo was, and would highly recommend a tour of the VC if you're ever in the neighbourhood.After the tour Matt and I went up to the top of the cupola (dome) of St Peter's Basilica, for amazing views of the surrounding area. We also had a peek inside the church. It is HUGE!
