Day of Remembrance
... Zealand. I also got to meet the Premier of Guadalcanal, and had a conversation with the Coast Guard lieutenant from earlier, and had my picture take with the US consulate. The party was a blast, and everything went smoothly. Word is tomorrow morning we are going to Tulagi on a boat donated by the Australian Navy. They will be taking us to Tulagi and back. It has been a long journey trying to get a boat to Tulagi, so I hope this works out. ...
Touching History
... Bomber, Japanese 155 and 105mm artillery pieces, the turret of a Japanese tank and other plane parts and war relics. This was the highlight of our day's trip, and truly breathtaking to see all of these pieces of history.
Next we went to Cape Esperance, the beaches used by the Japanese to evacuate their troops from Guadalcanal back to Rabaul. This beach, like the others, offered spectacular views.
