... ghost stories of old Victoria by one of the local historians.

We enjoyed a bit of a sleep in today, Thursday the 17th. We travelled to the docks to board our vessel for our whale watching trip. On the way out of the harbour we saw three big cruise liners moored. We motored for about 45 minutes and entered US waters were we encountered a few killer whales. We spent about 45 minutes viewing the whales. On our return we spotted some Harbour seals ...

Awesome adventure today as we made our way to the island! Sky train, buses and a ferry...all lovely with super nice folks. You can take a horse and carriage ride in the streets, or a cute little ferry boat around the harbour. Just sitting watching the harbour with sea boats landing and gulls circling is enough. I do love a town that keeps it's streets beautiful and has garden beds well tended full of flowers. I slept pretty well in my four poster ...

... system. No expense was spared to showcase the family wealth, and yet it served as a private family home for only 18 of its current 123 years of exsistence. I explored it thoroughly and had my history and architectural buff revelling in the experience! I walked all the way back into the city, which took about 40 minutes, and as it was mostly downhill, no hardship. Janis and I met for dinner on the marina docks, determined to try out the Red Fish Blue Fish food vendor I'd ...
