... on an area no larger than 5-10 square feet. The rock ended up in this position when the glaciers that once covered this area melted and left this for us to see. It was unfortunate that this cool natural feature has been vandalized by ignorant people spray painting various things on the rock face.
All the same, it was a neat thing to see. Tomorrow, we are off to learn to kayak rapids in the Deerfield ...

Departure from Nyack (we got dropped off just a bit out of NYC to avoid traffic) went well. We cycled approximately 65 km (40 miles). It was quite hilly (a lot more than what I am used to) but we eventually made it to Beacon, NY where we camped for the night in someone's backyard.
Second day was a bit easier, still hilly but not as steep. We also cycled approximately 65 km (40 miles) from Beacon to Rhinebeck, ...

After a supercharge at Newburgh, NY we made our way to Lenox, MA and Tanglewood - a truly special venue to see a concert.

For those supercharging at Newburgh, if you find yourself with some time to grab a bite to eat at Cosimo's. Great Italian food, we enjoyed it very much at our Tanglewood picnic.

James Taylor was, as always, amazing and it was so nice to be back "home" in New England. We must be making memories because the boys both ...
