... up, so instead of a fun drive through the mountains it was an agonizing crawl behind motor homes and dump trucks. I think there were at least five construction sites where we had to stop and wait for a lead car to guide us through. Then I made a wrong turn, which cost me another ten minutes. ... one town ends and the next begins. To me, its not about wine. Its about vibe. The vibe will eventually change as the money, which is moving in quickly and steadily, begins to force the hippies out. As rents rise, the locals are displaced and soon, the metaphorical tofu will be much less plentiful. Thats a sad thought indeed.

So when you travel thru NorCal's beautiful wine country, please be sure to take in the hippie vibe as well. Its a lovely place and your soul ...

... very cute little town but trying to find a place to have some breakfast became a mission. After going around the town, we found a place by the sea. The breakfast was top notch but the most fascinating thing about this cafe was that the owner and his workers seemed to know every person that walked through their door. Everyone was polite and pleasant. Once breakfast was done we were on our way to the wine country.

... mind but an experience none the less....

The day then took us to sushi, a trip to att to get a sim card which turned into a bit of a business venture and then jaspers. i have to sadly admit that I felt like a stranger at Jaspers for a bit. I dont really know anyone anymore but we nicely saw some great old friends and it turned into a nice evening. Off to the river tomorrow! Good night and best wishes to everyone!
