... One wonderful moment, Fern, my 94-year-old neighbor was out walking today. Last word was she had fallen several times and gone to Arizona with her daughter. I was afraid that may have boded ill, but she is back and fit as a fiddle! Didn’t much care for the desert and missed her redwoods. I love this gal!
So another trip ends and a new one begins, as I now have to focus on Europe for the summer.

... one town ends and the next begins. To me, its not about wine. Its about vibe. The vibe will eventually change as the money, which is moving in quickly and steadily, begins to force the hippies out. As rents rise, the locals are displaced and soon, the metaphorical tofu will be much less plentiful. Thats a sad thought indeed.

... had Portuguese before, but I liked it. Before they brought our meal we got these little appetizer shots that had water, carrots, cucumber, ham and who knows what in them. They tasted better than they sound. After lunch we went for chocolate tasting. Mmmm...chocolate.
Next we headed into Napa County and checked out Madonna Winery which was quite small. It was nice, but I was hot and about done with wineries at this point.
