The weather changed so rapidly in the 2 hour span of the tour that we went from foggy and windy to sunny and calm to windier than a *******, cold and foggy. I was glad to have the overcast, cooler weather for the 2.5 km hike back to the truck. I ...

Along the way was reminded that this is really the wilderness.

I overflew the Botwood town and water landing area, then landed at the small airfield on the edge of town at 8.15pm (well, I thought it was 8.15pm, turns out Newfoundland pride them selves on being half an ...

Started out relatively early ( for us) and headed up the Trans Canada toward new sights. We drove for quite awhile mostly trees and hills reminding us of the Island.

Went down a road that I was told might allow a sight of an iceberg. Well ...

... and waterfalls in their glory! We should be thankful for a few days of rain because without it the waterfalls that are so magnificent would have only been trickles down the sides of the massive cliffs! My camera was very busy! A boatload of happy people, a terrific guide, sunshine, majestic scenery, we are blessed! Once back at the dock we watched a moose grazing just off ...

... didn't surprise me with the way they drive. The wind was even worse now. Fecking Bad! Got to 'Grand Falls- Windsor' and pulled in. 400 miles is enough for today. Found a campsite which was OK. Surrounded by trees and out of the wind. It had 2" of grass then what felt like reinforced concrete underneath. I should charge them for all my bent tent pegs I now have. Got camp established then went into town for a bite to eat. Had to ask a few directions to get to a Subway. Pulled up in ...
