... Chihuahua, play poker with beach beans, listen to lots of Cheese from visitors about anybody in this little beach village (soap operas were probably invented here), more surfing for Jason and looking at the waves and so on…. Jason’s dad is on his second business trip already, so we try to keep Maudy a little distracted and she doesn’t feel so lonely. We spend two days in Zihua getting things done and meeting Carolina, but most of the times it’s a little ...
Troncones, Pacific Coast, Mexico lenitasworldIts been about three weeks since Tracy and I got to Zihuatanejo (see wah tah
NAY ho), which is in the Mexican state of Guerrero. We picked this town solely based on what we saw online as far as: population (not too big or too small), access to many different beaches, and the potential for lots of restaurants to choose from.
Zihuatanejo, or "Zihua" as the locals call it, is a fairly new city. There are no giant cathedrals or colonial buildings like you would find in Mexico ...
This past weekend I went to Ixtapa, which is a beach city about 6 hours from where I'm living! I was invited by a woman named Daphne from the church here, and so we went with her mom, sister, daughter, and nephew. It was a lot of fun, very hot, and and sometimes very difficult with the language barrier.
Daphne and her mother are new Christians. Apparently Daphne came to the women's group at the church about 4 months ...
Ixtapa surprised both Christina and I as the area was like one big Resort. Much different then the rest of Mexico, the gardens were manicured, no garbage, and decent roads. This was one of the first RV Parks we found that was in good shape offering all the amenities at a reasonable price, 140 pesos (US$10.37). We checked out the town and market, they were really set up for the American tourist. I would have to say it ...
Ixtapa, Guerrero, Mexico cmedancingAfter Barra De Navidad, we climbed in La Familia and headed to Zihuatanejo. This 8 hour drive was some awesome coastal driving with lunch in a surreal beach stop along the way. Our hotel had the most beautiful bay view with a vanishing edge pool and lots of areas to play cards, relax, and read. We made daily trips to Troncones, driving on the beach to surf, play coconut bowling, and have cervezas. We went through the smallest, poorest puebla (town) you'd imagine but ...
Zihuatanejo, Pacific Coast, Mexico joelmunoz1968... it more than anything else I can imagine. I think I learned and changed so much and I feel better than ever. Of course there are still a lot of questions about the future, about security and assurance that we all like so much, but we are working on it, no worries. I enjoy every single day, I enjoy the easygoingness, I enjoy being able to go to the beach every single day if I want to, I enjoy living every single day intensely. On the other hand we are happy to get a ...

If you're not on a budget and would like a bit of luxury then stay in the neighbouring resort area of Ixtapa. Here the high-rise hotels dominate the beach front and offer all the amenities that you would expect from top end hotels. A quick Google search will list many of these hotels.

... understand the posters everywhere, but there are stages at the beach where the candidate's party gives out free t-shirts, stickers and I don't know what else. They do a huge promotion thing! The other day we were having lunch and we hear super loud music approaching from a car. Well, it was not only one car, but it was its own parade. Several trucks and cars had been decorated with the parties' colour and people were dancing on them throwing t-shirts. I have never seen ...
Zihuatanejo, Mexico lenitasworld... we were back in business to carry on enjoying ourselves. We did not ask many questions and it seemed to be better this way. After a few more cocktails, we headed back to 'Nilla for the night. The following morning Michael got up early and walked out to the beach to check out the morning activity. The beach was a buzz with traffic including fishermen, children, birds and insects. As Michael walked down the beach he was most impressed ...
Zihuatanejo, Mexico mikeandger... dad). On this point if none other I feel I must defend myself. It's not that I haven't sampled the local wares, including (though not limited to) Modelos, Victoria, Bohemia, Sol, Indio and Dos Equis (both the lager and amber), maybe this is a deficiency in taste on my behalf but I am yet to experience anything as refreshingly pleasing to the palate as tingly light Corona with a squeeze of fresh lime and a rim of salt, especially with a few grains of sand in the bottom, bliss.
