... That afternoon we took the dogs for a walk at White Water park in Gunnison. This is where you can put your kayak in the water at one end of the park, ride it through some fairly significant white water, then get out at the end, carry kayak back and start again. We watched some local teens enjoy the end of the summer in this park.

Drove up to Aspen to see Richard Ford my grandson. Had dinner and walked around Aspen went to bed and drove back to Centenial to stay with her until Tuesday Morning.
Richard showed us around the town. Richard knows at least a dozen beautiful girls who we met around Aspen.
Night 28: Deep Colorado From Mesa Verde NP to Gunnison, CO Today we made 260 miles in a generally L shaped route, as the mountains dictated. Weather was good. Mostly sunny with one tiny little sprinkle for a few seconds. Temps varied slightly along the route but never passed the low 80's. Today we explored the beautiful southwest corner of Colorado in no hurry. We began our day in Mesa Verde NP having been left unmolested by the cinnamon colored bear. (See yesterday's post.) ...
