... what a birds eye view of the geologically active volcano, some lava still glowing red and its destruction like a river, through the tropical rainforest. ... Park. Here we were able to view additional volcanoes and read about the history. We went on a walk through a lava tube (inactive of course).

Next we went back up the coast from Hilo to Akaka Falls State Park, where we walked through the rain forest and saw the beautiful Akaka Falls. On the way there, we stopped at the Mauna Loa macadamia nut farm and factory. Marty was able to go into the factory and observe the packaging ...

... area. It is very green. Very little town with nothing to do; we stopped for lunch at a Mexico place. Place that was very busy. We ordered the tapas size and they treated us to freebie real chips and homemade salsa. Super cheap place. ... from a different cabin hahaha...we all watched Pitch Perfect and I fell asleep...and Pitch Perfect is my favorite movie soooo that goes to show how much my room rocks me to sleep! I'll be sure to take a group picture of all the people I keep talking about so that you all can put faces to names! Well, Emily and I slept in today and got woke up to a shipboard drill.....but I will make sure to post again tonight!!
