    The day started off so well. We decided to use Uber to get to Castro Valley BART where we would try the SFO connection for the very first time. A relaxing way to arrive to the airport, and with Uber giving a $30 credit to first time rides, literally a $20 trip for two to the airport from door to door.

    Well today was our last full day in San Francisco. The day started with our usual early morning walk. One thing we have noticed is the amount of homeless people in the city. This morning a pregnant lady asked us for food, she wasn't after money just food. She was certainly happy when we walked out of Starbucks and gave her a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast.

    We stayed near the airport that night and were up early to be at SFO for our 8:30am flight. Less than five hours after take-off we were in Cancun. My first bit of culture shock was when I realized that the coke I bought while waiting for our resort shuttle was close to $4.00. US. This was a far cry from the nickel they cost when I was here last 24 years ago! No more airport coke.

    ... We started our trip dodging traffic in LA. That was a nightmare in itself as our GPS was going nuts telling us to avoid just about every exit. After an hour or so we hit some open road and headed North on Highway 1 with the good old Pacific Ocean by our side.
