Arrived at Shore Hills Campground today. Made reservations here based on a Motorhome magazine recommendation which, as we discovered, can be a crapshoot. We had a riverside site but a lot of it was blocked by large trees. Oh well..... Went into town which looked like a mini Kennebunkport and certainly not as crowded. Took a harbor cruise, learned a lot about the area...for instance, didn't know that this area alone hauls in about ...

Today we took our time and made our way from Bar Harbor to Portland. Well, it's been an awesome vacation, but it has to come to an end sometime. Soooo, we were paying the government… who pays for the vans anyway! Hmmm…It’s the Circle of Liiiiifffe!!

Our original housing plan was for us to stay at the local Cosmopolitan Club in Bath, but unfortunately they had had a couple pipes burst and were ...

DAY THIRTY-SEVEN: It's amazing that we’ve gotten this far. Now Pearl, and I hope I’m not jinxing anything (though I can’t align fidelity or competence with superstition; to do so would be unfair to my baby), no longer seems to heave or shudder while moving up the hills; her engine hardly seems to overheat, but we’re not taking chances on pushing our great fortune further than it’s already stretched. To be ignorant of the ...
