We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. After leaving the lovely Rockport, we continued heading North (passing briefly through the State of New Hampshire) until we crossed over into the State we would be spending the next week in, Maine, affectionately known as Vacationland!

... and sound in Bath, Maine. After paying some 30 odd bucks in tolls. Kudos, Minnesota, for free interstates. Of course, we learned AFTER that government vehicles can often drive through free. Soooo, we were paying the government… who pays for the vans anyway! Hmmm…It’s the Circle of Liiiiifffe!!
