... boring lines that never seem to move and being forced to eves drop on some poor slobs dopy conversation about how to correctly feed his cats while he is away. This time around I was able to skirt through with no "yearly physical" (which I am not sure is a good thing or bad thing) in less then ten minutes. Hopefully this is a good omen for this trip. As long as the plane doesn't crash down into the Atlantic Ocean It can't be bad.

... and then saw the White House. It was quite an "wow" moment seeing the White House even though we're not American - I think it is so embedded in our psyche through all forms of media that finally seeing it was quite amazing! Slightly funny reaction I know, but it's how we felt!

... Will need to check how far off we were. We took a detour to Chesapeake City in Maryland and what a cute little town. Very pictureseque and historic. If was also nice to see water! It was great to stretch our legs for a little while. We kept going and headed across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to get across to Annapolis. We spent the evening with our awesome hosts Chris and Sara. Chris had promised us that he was going to show us it all. And boy did he. We started off the evening with dinner at the restaurant that Chris manages. The food and beers were great and Chris even took care of the bill for us.
