... lunch was Springbok and chicken on the BBQ, complete with a trifle which we made and promptly forgot about until Boxing Day after everyone drunk too much. Later there was yet more swimming and a game of rounders in the heat, fueled by a dodgy vodka punch, what could possibly go wrong?! So basically a great Christmas, and has made me quite keen on spending Christmas abroad in future...

... times and on different slopes, which may not sound like a lot, but when you have to climb the sand dune every time, it gets to be a tiring activity. Going down is the easy part, though, as you really just let gravity do all the work for you. They had a speed gun and we had the top speeds of around 75 km/h.

The remainder of the time there was pretty chill – using internet and such. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can make another blog post ...

... was stunning, with the sun turning blood red as it touched the horizon!
Like most other beach resort towns on earth, new developments were popping up all over the place. The only difference here is that the "beach" stretches 30km inland. It is actually quite an impressive drive along the coast with the sea on one side and the desert dunes on the other. I pulled Mozza back onto the sand to pose for a photo. We had now officially crossed the African continent!
