... slaughter houses and smells that would make a billy goat throw up. The smell throughout most of Kansas was a very pungent combination of cattle urine, feces and slaughter houses. I almost lost it a couple of times when riding behind a truck that was full of cattle. My clothes even smell like Kansas. I've managed to stay off major interstates and stick to mostly back roads. Day one complete. The route we took was Hot Springs, Forth Smith, Tulsa, Sand Springs, Wichita and finished at the 1st rest stop we could find.
