... slaughter houses and smells that would make a billy goat throw up. The smell throughout most of Kansas was a very pungent combination of cattle urine, feces and slaughter houses. I almost lost it a couple of times when riding behind a truck that was full of cattle. My clothes even smell like Kansas. I've managed to stay off major interstates and stick to mostly back roads. ... Also I think every bug, fly and any other airborne insect along the 508 miles we travelled are now stuck to my visor! After a long day its time for some kip on a Picnic table...... I hope none of the truck drives that are also here gets lonely! :-o ........ Onward to Colorado Springs tomorrow to ride Pikes Peak and hopefully make it to Denver tomorrow ...

... up we sheened to what was supposed to be a Route 66 tourism hub, with gift shops and various assorted tat, but what turned out to be some blokes house with a bunch of angry looking dogs roaming about, so we give it a miss and moved straight on to the City of Perry [ population no one ] to hit their park and have a walk round. Keep up the old exercise.
