Sioux City... Actually North Sioux City which is in South Dakota as opposed to Sioux City which is in Iowa and South Sioux City which is in Nebraska. We were in all threes states within ten minutes time. We went to the Sergeant Floyd River Boat and learned much about Sergeant Floyd the Lewis and Clark expedition. Craig heard there was a candy shop downtown so we had to go the Palmer's Old Tyme Candy Shoppe and buy a bag full!

More corn fields on the way to Beresford. We came around a curve and what did we see in a field... we don't know. But it was big with huge horns. As we were getting closer to where the campground should be we see nothing but corn. But then we see an oasis of trees on a hill. This was the campground. Beautiful trees and grass. We found a Geo cache and even played Mah Jongg. A relaxing day!

However, midnight came and went, and when Greg called in the morning they said they had to get a ...

It was so hot and humid that we knew it was going to be a good storm chase day, we woke up to 2 super-cells on the radar at 8am! Went to Lincoln for BBQ lunch and to get Laurie's camera cleaned before getting into position around Columbus. We positioned ourselves perfectly to witness large sister wedge tornados and a cone tornado as they made their way along highway 281 between Norfolk and Pilger, sadly this system went on to almost completely destroy the small town of ...

... not pickup. Most of the time none of your phones had any bars. Just as we gong to leave Lewis & Clark Mike called. He was about 35 mile west of La Mars. We were about 25 mile from so we said we would meet there. We got to the Amber motel and Mike was a little behind us. Mexican was our choice for supper. Great food. When your in the ice cream Capitol of the World you have to an ice cream cone. So we did!!!!!!! We drove 167 miles today with no car ...
