Nice new RV Park - kind of a long ways out from the usual Breaux Bridge activity, but lovely sites, full hookups, and, with Passport America, only $15/night!
On our first day here, we drove to Lafayette, where I had a doctor appointment for the annual boob check. We stopped for lunch at the Cafeteria that is featured in James Lee Burke's novels which feature David Robichaud. Fun little joint.

... We stopped at the McDonalds for breakfast since we didn't want to buy perishables since we were leaving again in a few days. En route west we drove about 400 miles, leaving balmy Florida, still wet from the previous two days of heavy rain. We got gas for $2.39. Amazing. We stopped in Baton Rouge to restock at a Trader Joes market. Nice to be back in familiar terrirtory. ... jack up golf carts, trick them out with chrome, big speakers, neon lights and chubby girls in bikinis. Then they drive around in circles around the campground blaring their preferred music, which ranges from country to rap.
