When we decided to come on the trip over to North America it was always going to be a compromise between where everyone wanted to go and who wanted to see what. The question between whether we spent a week on The Great Lakes or went and looked at the some of the Mid West Corn belt and the John Deere Factories was made as soon as we turned south and started heading into the states. Today we visited the John Deere seeder plant. We took a tour of the factory, where they make, assemble, and repair seeders. They make many types and sizes of seeders there, from small 4-ro seeders to 24-row ones. All their seeders are custom made, when a farmer orders them. They produce about 38 seeders a day, or 19 per shift. We also saw the John Deere pavilion, where we got to see some of thir other tractors, combines, ...

We arose early this morning, hoping to be on the road by 8. After Andy made multiple trips down to the breakfast area for us for coffee and food, we gassed up, got more coffee and were off....at 8:45. Not much to say about today other than we drove, a lot. I-80 the entire time through Nebraska, crossing into central time, and ending in Iowa. Lots of cows, corn, rolling hills, and barns. I drove the first 4 1/2 hour ...

... the park, go to their beautiful, huge swimming pool, or play mini golf. Nice, level concrete pull-thru site facing the lake, but we couldn't have a full hookup or 50 amp service in a pull-thru site that was long enough for us. Good 30 amp service though!

Sunset Lakes Resort is a park we'd like to come back to!
