... We did learn however that Siesta in southern Italy is way more intense than in Rome. In Rome Siesta ends at 4:30, in Barletta it ends at 5:30! We awoke to clear skies, dew on the fields and 13 C (that is 55 F)! We had not seen temperatures this cold in quite some time. Our destination today was the Adriatic Sea and the Gargano Peninsula. ... Then medallion of stuffed turkey with zucchini strips...fresh fruit with a dusting of powered sugar, and a delicious chocolate nut cake. OMG, what could be better. All accompanied by great wine(none for me, boo hoo), the three finish two bottles, we linger , they have after dinner drinks, then everyone talks about what we have as eaten, so it just extends the experience even more-it is going to be very difficult to top this evening. Almost impossible!
