We weren’t exactly sure where the bus had dropped us but it didn’t look like it was anywhere near the bus station. Our tuk-tuk driver said it was 8km from our bus drop-off point to the Fort. So it seems we were the victims of Scam Number 1 in the Indian Book of Scams:
