Day trip to Cerro Negro and Leon Viejo
... Negro, which is a volcano about an hour's drive from Leon. The volcano last erupted in 1999 and has erupted 23 times since the 1800's, meaning that it is QUITE active. ... Incredible sunset then we headed back down. Big pasta dinner (sadly everything on the hikes is veggie so not my fav). Sat around the campfire making s'mores, talking, and watched the nearly full moon rise behind Momotombo.
