... back to the car, it started pouring, Reagan was not a fan of that, we got back to the car and she was drenched. Poor little thing just sat in her seat, crying, saying she was cold and wet.

We had originally planned on going to a different beach in the afternoon but decided with the weather just to head straight to our hotel in hopes that we could check in early and use the indoor pool until the storm passed, and save the beach for another day. We got there around 1:30 ...

Eight of us met at Macatawa Legends for Senior Day. Great deal - golf and lunch for $35. Such a beautiful day. Golf not so beautiful. Still had fun. Something about Boots? Back to Schmidts to pick up our stuff, then to Grand Rapids. Doing a Park 'n Fly while we are gone. Good place, will park car here while we are gone. Up early tomorrow. 7:30 flight to Anchorage.

We will also be working at 2 group homes; 1 for adolescent boys and another for adolescent ...

... city a bit last night and during lunch today. The city is filled with hustle and bustle, there is so much to see! I am now understanding what everyone told me before leaving, "you could live in Rome your entire life, and not see everything." So true! The time change and lack of sleep is finally catching up to me a bit tonight. I am checking in pretty early to fire up for my second day of classes and third day in the eternal city!

    Until next time,

In a couple of hours we'll be leaving Holland to begin the first leg of our journey. Somehow leaving on September 11 feels appropriate because, as tragic as it was, this day above all others reminds me of the strength and courage of Americans, both now and in those early days of the founding of the original colonies.

There won't be much to comment on for the first couple of days. We'll be stopping in Columbus, ...
