One week from today I will walk out of the office, start running around like crazy because I just remembered things I still need to get done and then start packing. Saturday I'll check and recheck my list of things I want to make sure I take....camera, phone charger, tablet, plenty of underwear, sunscreen, sunglasses.....then feel horrible because it will be time to drop Cartman off for boarding. ... a pet deer named backstrip. Yes, it was an actual deer and Blake as I pet it. Then as we were talking to these people the local county sheriff pulled up in his car ( which apparently he did every day). This sheriff was about 65 or 70 years old, had a six shooter revolver and also quite a big amount of chewing tobacco. ... no hot water! Surprise of the day, we only had to pay $7/night...for the life of us, we can't figure out how the office came up with that figure. ... Weekenders", it doesn't affect us much, but it's interesting to see the varied group that shows. It's nice to see folks without white hair enjoying camping with their kids.

We'll be moving on tomorrow through Baton Rouge to another state park. It's called Tickfaw State park. We'll stay their for two nights. We find that staying in the outback gives us more of a sense of peace. The rates are right and just ...
