Today after a leisurely morning, we drove to Folkston - one of the entrances to Okefenokee swamp. It was a bit of a challenge getting there since the directions weren't clear and the gps didn't recognize the address. We visited the information center, watched a short film about the swamp and had a picnic lunch. Following that we rode our bikes along the 7mile swamp road loop and went to ...

We enjoyed a walk along the driftwood beach and took pictures of some of the interesting driftwood specimens. We were on the road again by 3:00 - heading to Waycross, Georgia. We arrived at our destination (Laura S. walker state park) some time between 4:30 and 5:00. A nice ...

Didn't do anything today ...

... Please check them out. They are beautiful.

The trail ends at an old farm. We turned around there and completed our hike back to camp on the paved road. We did nearly five miles and both of us were a bit tired, but in better condition now. Getting back into shape is a slow process, but well worth the effort.

After we had a late lunch, we drove back to the Trading Post, which is at the entrance to the park. We got the free ...
