A truly Scottish moment
... and backed our car onto the ferry. We left for Skye, a short 25 minute ride away.
We met a friend on the ferry named Neal. He was an American from Alaska and he was traveling alone. We planned to meet Neal later for a beer. Nessie!!!!
This morning was an early start, I was in a taxi at 7.30am on my way to meet up with the tour I had booked. We had many highlights of historical value, but most notable was Loch Ness. We took the cruise for a chance to spot Nessie. Earliest recorded sighting is said to have been 565AD.

We could not have had a better reintroduction to Scotland than this ramble and we're looking forward to the next one.

Got away in the late morning not sure at all how far we would get heading south around the west coast. During our chat our host had told us about a place near the Kyle of Tongue where we might get to spot some otters if we were lucky. We have only seen a couple very briefly at dusk on Unst so far so we thought we would call in and try to spot one.
First ...
