... the gold rush of California. In the middle of no where, this place was once a large city until depletion of resources and fire rendered it done just before WW2. Due to California's crippling tolls on freight a lot of the buildings were still furnished which added to the ambience as we walked around the deserted homes and businesses of this former metropolis and there was something saddening about the emptiness of a once vibrant, charismatic area. Next stop San ...

And, happy "29th" birthday, Staci! (Oh yes, you’ll see Staci and Vincent wearing hats with “40” on them to celebrate Joseph Phelps 40th and we thought auspiciously someone ...

... and laughing too much as the guy serving us our tastings was quite obviously off us. We don't care, we were having fun.

Back in the limo for more laughs on the ride back to Napa.

Made up own tasting notes like: hint of Alaskan fishermans armpit. Perhaps not a selling point?

Back at our cottage and it's hot tub time! Well, it is at least for Michelle, Jeff & Nick. Julia & I chose to ingest our hot water and had ...
