    ... Francisco Nob Hill (snob hill?) an affluent district, home to many of the city's upper-class families. The Haight-Ashbury district, the center of the 1960s Hippie movement, still has brightly painted houses but looks gentrified now. Michael managed to adapt quickly to driving on the wrong side of the road and follow the intersection etiquette. The drivers seem very patient.

    It felt glorious to sleep in after such a long week. After dragging ourselves out of bed, Jonathan and I grabbed a sandwich at the nearby Whole Foods and piled in the car to drive through Napa. It was a gorgeous sunny day (rain had been predicted) and Jonathan said we were going to a surprise place.

    That surprise place turned out to be Castello di Amorosa, which was so, so amazing. Someone with a stupidly large amount of money ...

    First week at the farm!

    ... successfully got out 3 times yesterday, but wasn't smart enough to get very far and today we've made his pen more secure. The new born bunnies have just started squirming about and growing fur so we have about a week until they are hopping around; very excited!
    Then there is the coolest dog enclosure I have ever seen, sofas and all sorts. 3 dogs live in there because they have been known to be vicious so we don't play with them. There are 2 other dogs, Saphire ...

    ... 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s that we heard from our parents. Also, we got some very good advice from my cousins: wear layers of clothes, it will get chilly, and it did! In fact, there was someone there wearing a parka with fake fur on the hoodie. Lots of hats, gloves, and warm coats!

    So, that was our weekend… enjoy the photos and I’ll be back in the next few days to report on Lily’s visit!

    ... Good shopping for me & JG with both of us substantially increasing our need to purchase an extra suitcase!

    Back in Napa we had no luck finding a grocery store but we did find a gelato store down by the river (more like mud flats). Very nice ice cream, worth the wait.

    Back to the Oxbow markets for the third day in a row to purchase more salad for dinner tonight. ...
