    Today was bittersweet as it was our last day with the Shifrins and our time in Maine was drawing to a close. Besides, we needed to start thinking about things like getting the kids to the Doctor so they could enrol in school, setting up our apartment and, in general, beginning the process of readying ourselves to get back into a routine and starting school and work!!!!     ... home just before 7pm to a lovely dinner of homemade calzones.

    ... hard work of the previous hours of walking, we all jumped in the lake and had a delightfully cool and refreshing swim. This cooling process was greatly aided by beer #3. Then we walked back down the hill and the truck for the short drive back to the Shifrin house. It was a wonderful walk and great to get out in the Maine mountains and remember the different scenery and environment provided by northern New England hardwoods.
