Here we were able to see original manuscripts from Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson. The special collections curator wasn't there, but a woman on staff unlocked it and allowed us to walk around. Emily Dickinson's house was closed today. The ONLY day of the week it's closed... Oh well. Not much I can do. Now in to ...
... that made for a grand meal with all eleven of us around their table. It was a great treat! Around the table was a lot of laughter and stories current and long ago. These friendships and our relationships are very important to Sheila and I.
The plan for the next day is to go to the Icon Museum in Clinton Mass and later attend a concert at Mechanics Hall.

... I'm reading a book called "The Boy Who Fell Out of the Sky" about the hi-jacked plane that exploded over Lockerbie. Not a good book to be reading when you're about to fly. I just extra worry because I have kids now. I want to see my kids grow up!!!!!! They need their Mommy!!!!!!!! OK, I won't dwell on it.
Well, should go. I'm at school now and should get my act together before the kids start invading. DEEP BREATH........
... at 8 am. Early flights (or early anythings) are not my thing.
So in the last month before trip the tasks are:
- Get some good walking shoes
- New lightweight jacket
- An emergency cellphone/iPad charger
- Start making packing list.
- Book the side trips and timed-entry tickets
- Finalize our itinerary
- Get house into shape as much as possible so I don't come back to a total hovel.
