... off the mountain! Now this requires a little bit of a back story. When you reach the age of 90 and you go skiing, there are a few perks -- one of them is you get to ski for free. With our program, one morning-only lift ticket is included, so we basically ski from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and you can upgrade your ticket to a full-day ticket for $15 per day. At Sunday River, most of the lift operators are pretty relaxed about checking tickets, and we skied until about ...

... have to keep your eyes open for.

Today I used an app on my phone that uses GPS to track where you skied on the mountain, how far you traveled and what your top speed was. Today we traveled a distance of 31 miles (including chair lift rides) and my speed topped out at 52.7 miles per hour.

When I unzipped Kelty's fly this morning, dense fog rolled in. A layer of dank mist hung over the Saco River and our campsite. I could barely see as I stumbled to the bath house. After downing my vat of oatmeal, I dilly dallied around camp, fussing over White Lightening's gear. With Surly on the DL suffering from chain popping-itis, ...

... White Lightening would have to ride the last 155 miles to Maine's coast.

The downhill into Conway was a thrill. I'm going to miss the ups and downs when I get back to the Cape. We sat outside on Conway's Elvio's Pizza deck and devoured a giant cheese pie drenched in Texas Pete. After lunch, we would cross the Maine state line, so we planned ...
