    chickens, and mules. Another fascinating stop was the Nature Center, complete
    with native wildflowers , hawks, owls, coyote, red wolves, bobcat, and bald

There are a couple conservation areas. Bob charged us $10/person/nite, yet we can be as loud as we want. He charged us $60 for the shuttle. P.S. Meg & Sydney talk a lot when they are together in the canoe...need headphones next ...

    ... to take a long break every 5 - 10 miles. We had to drink copious amounts of liquids to stay hydrated. Towards midday, we were both feeling sick and dizzy and were worried of having bigger sun-related issues. In any case, we made it. And we're alive. So that's cool. Our plan is now to pack in as many miles as early as possible and take a 3-5 hour siesta during the hottest hours of the day, and put more miles in ...

    ... did have some flat roads and winding but so much nicer than the other days...At about 28 miles we found the Johnson's Shut Ins State Park and had a nice lunch out of the Van sandwiches and salads.....

    Then we took on the afternoon and it wasn't bad either a few rollers and winding roads but so much nicer and duleable, it was hot though about 85 today....MaryJane was driving this afternoon and found this little spot actually a Bar and bought 2 ...

    ... so blistering making me drip, drip, drip sweat as my body attempts to cool me down. I can see it... my summit, my destination, my time to rest. I look back at what I just conquered...the Ozarks. I underestimated the beauty; a lot like a jungle and it's eminence terrain.
