Finally left Florida. We'd been there since April 9th and are off to travel the south for two months. Our first stop is Hahira, Georgia (pronounced hay-Hi-ra) to Cain's Creekside RV Park. This is our third visit here. The owners, Rodney and Karen are some of our favorite people. Odd name right? Well....

... a late checkout with the Hyatt so I split right after the surgery was done and I had a chance to thank the crew for their excellent work.

Getting back to my room I quickly transferred the files from the SD cards to my laptop, via internal card reader, then made an additional copy on a USB 3.0 HDD. Once the files existed in 3 different places I packed up and departed.

After shaking off the Super 8 filth and a few more hours of driving our throats were dry and thus we decide to make a stop at the Historic Boone Tavern in Berea Kentucky. We were greeted by the hostess and expressed our need for a drink to which she replied "Sorry, this is a dry county." So naturally, we left and will not be heading back to Berea anytime soon. ...

... felt a calling to the Motherland knew we needed a trip there. Pulling into their drive the whole 'free range pig' concept became abundantly clear. We soon discovered that the never go over 3 pigs per acre and the pigs live in the woods roaming free. They almost seemed like pets to the owner but we were not so attached that we refused a bacon sandwich to wake us up.

... a motel and café, where we holed up for the next three days. The kids loved it; swimming and TV. Everyone was very friendly there and really helped us. So we were excited to come back and see Tifton. We stayed at the KOA in Tifton. They have a lot more gnats now than I remember. Also, the town has grown into a megalopolis. Ah, the wheels of progress.

Anyway, it was nice to see it ...
