We had one of those lazy days today that you sometimes need on a long holiday. We've basically just ambled round Salida, its park running alongside the river and its quaint shops. ... turns out a cyclist had gone off the road and hurt himself pretty badly. When we arrived the MedFlight helicopter was just taking off. The pass was interesting because most of the drive was on dirt. The RAM did very well - that what it is made for. We also traveled along Taylor Reservoir - one of many huge lakes in Colorado.

We look forward to visiting Randy and Dori again in the future. They live in a beautiful area.

... the cold pool, we ran back up to the hot pool again. In there we
met a local guy who told us that the lady who owns the hot springs allows kids
with drug addictions to come and get off the drugs. In exchange, they work for
her for the duration of their stay. The owner believes that the water has a
naturally healing property. We agreed that it was a nice idea.
