... there we took it easy and went to Rockford, IL in two days, about 95km. We couldn't find a warmshower host so we turned to couchsurfing. The next day we cycled to White Pine Forest State Park (60km, 37 miles). We met up with cousin John and his friends. We stayed a couple nights, tubed down the Rock river, had lots of fun!
Today we took a tour of Lincoln's house. Most of the furniture was original. I do not have a picture of the house on the I-pad so I can show it. It is a two story home now but when Lincoln bought it was 1 story. In the 17 years they owned a second story was added and a room in the back. From there we went to Lincoln's tomb.
