... we were welcomed by farmers departing their white extended cab pickup trucks for their red gators to cruise the ditches to their fields before the temperature would rise. It was already approaching 90 degrees by 8:00 a.m.

We finally came by a station but none of the gas tanks were effective. I pulled to the side of the convenience store and reclined my chair hoping a power nap would be enough to get us to our destination. Ducks and donuts were just around the bend ...

... about an hour with a max depth of 71ft for my first dive in saltwater. The fish we saw and got pictures of were amazing. Arrival in Bonaire!

I landed in Bonaire about 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Got off the plane and through customs with no problem. Out of the "termInal" and found Katie and Tom eagerly awaiting my arrival. In to the truck and off we went to the condo, a short 15 minute drive. We got to the condo put my stuff away and then we walked over to Eddies 's a local restaurant across the street for some burgers with some Rockfordians who were down ...

* It's exhausting being a mom (did I mention I was 47?) but SOOOOOO worth it; I wouldn't change a thing
