    Another early morning. Had a waffle for breakfast. Very yummy. Left Virginia and crossed into Tennessee. After a morning break we crossed into Tennessee. Stopped for lunch at a Cracker Barrel in Sevierville. As this is birthplace of Dolly Parton we stopped outside the town hall to take a photo of her statue.     ... and we got photos, but Damien still wanted to see more so we headed to the college. Damien took A LOT of photos of squirrels, and they are pretty cute! Eventually Nadia was able to convice Damien that it was time to leave them alone, and we headed back to our rooms. We had a late lunch, so dinner was also pretty late, and pretty light.

    ... are unique to this town. The town is very proud of its squirrels, even having an annual White Squirrel festival every May. There are signs and pictures of white squirrels all over town. Stories vary somewhat as to where they originate from and how they came to be in Brevard, but it was our mission to see one and take photos.

    ... spindly legs into some water before they ascended their first major climb into Hendersonville. Lake Lure Tours generously donated 31 beach access bands which gave everyone access to water slides and the swimming area. It was so fun! Carlee and Alicia ambitiously attempted to recreate "the lift" from aforementioned favorite movie, I went down some water slides, Christine found her future instrument of choice at the Lake Lure Arts & Crafts ...

    We broke camp it was humid and sunny. The trip to Asheville, NC was uneventful and the temperature and humidity was improving too.
