    ... river, giving kids and adults endless fun “surfing” the river; a gently shelving beach with clear turquoise water and an outlook of little bush-covered sandstone islets. The downside is that of course, it gets very busy but for a couple of days we just lay on the beach, swam, read our books, and sunbathed – it was bliss.

    ... I'm always surprised.

    Oh and I forgot, the first night I was here it got down in the 40s!!!! I WAS FREEZING! The woofers sleep out in this barn thing, so there isn't any insulation, and after sleeping in houses in warmer climates, I was an ice cube.     Yup - this was a touchy day but someone had to do it. Fabulous blue sky day with little wind so we booked a pick up with Bike 2 Vine. We were kitted out with our bikes etc in the garage in their beautiful garden them set off down the lanes to the Vineyards. There are an unbelievable amount if vineyards in this area - cheek by jowl. First to Forest where we could cycle through the vineyards - lovely gardens and a chance for a quick tennis practice with Nia ...
