... I didn't recognize this classic begging move. I'm losing my Chicago edge out here. We headed back the 2 miles to Yaquina Head where we found the whales had not left. We also found the tide slowly but surely in recession, exposing tide pools a little at a time. Andrew and I poked around finding crabs, both of the hermit and dungeness varieties. ... detour took us more than 30 minutes, but our same campsite was available to us. The planes are still flying overhead every 5 minutes, but the wind has shifted so it is the somewhat quieter landing pattern rather than the raucous take-off route.
