We arrived late afternoon and parted with the boys as we had booked separate accommodation. We had quite a nice room and got a double bed each as Sam and Hannah were supposed to be sharing with us. We then walked around a little, had dinner and looked at Haad rin beach where the full moon is. It was surprisingly clean and also quite a small beach with a lot of bars. That night we went to the ...

The rest of the afternoon was spent in the class reviewing our homework and doing a few quizzes. James said we both did really well and were ready for the sea which was exciting. Prices for drinking are expensive in Thailand and Ko Phangan is no exception, a local beer in the supermarket is BHT 35 and hard alcohol is BHT 850 for an Absolute Vodka but you can find local Vodkas for BHT 350. The famous buckets go from BHT 150 until BHT 450 depending on the bottle of alcohol, but this always include a small bottle of alcohol, mixer that could be sodas or juices, Redbull and ice.

... so relieved that there was a huge language barrier on the day I went to see him spar. I sat with my sun glasses on to hide the tears that filled my eyes as I saw my baby in the ring with the other wee boys he was to 'spar' with, boxing gloves on and a determined glint in his eye, raring to go. He was completely focused and energised and went for it. I had to physically stop myself from jumping into the ring to get him out after he got hit, refraining I ...

... to eat. After putting our bags in our cabins we all went off to go snorkelling, sunbathing or napping. The cabins are awesome! They're simple wooden cabins built on stilts, two to each. There's a balcony and a bathroom in each (no hot water though!) and only electricity between 7pm and 10am (it's still a bit dodgy then mind you!). We are a few seconds from the beach and the 2 or three little cafés that ...
