So the following day we set off to Koh Phangan on the ferry and tanned on the top roof of the boat the whole way there! We parted ways once we got off the boat, they were off to meet two of Laura's friends from home who had come out to meet them and they had booked to stay in a four man bungalow at a quieter beach in the north of the island. I was going down to the main beach Haad Rin which is where the full moon party is situated, I had booked myself ...

... complete, we joined half of Argentina for some drinks. Unfortunately we lost our posse rather quickly when we were distracted by a man and his buckets! However, we found a darn good replacement in the form of a Filipino Ladyboy! She had an interesting sense of humour...that's if repeatedly telling people you have Hep A and that there's Roofies in your drink counts as humour! We saw cities of coral housing masses of tropical fish in all sorts of colours and sizes. On each 40 minute dive you do roughly 10 minutes at the start and 5 minutes at the end of practicing and testing but the rest of your time is spent exploring the dive sight. We saw puffer fish, dragon ...

... soaked by people with water pistols and buckets of water. Taxis are stopping to let passers by soak the passengers with hoses. People are throwing water at people on mopeds. After googling and finding that 700 people in Thailand died last year on Songkran because of the trucks of water and water being thrown .... We decided to stay in a watch some of the 30 episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch I downloaded before leaving the Uk. Sabrina and M&Ms! Happy new year! ...

          Day 6 - Koh Tao

This morning Benny sat his diving exam in the hope that he would be able to dive that afternoon. Unfortunately, the doctors back home hasn't faxed over the doctors note so Ben was unable to dive too! :( - this was a shame as he was able to do all the skills needed to dive in the water. Because neither of us could dive in the end, we relaxed on the ...
