After all yesterday's storms today was bright and sunny again, but very cold. We visited the Tennessee Valley Railroad for a ride on a train.

... a small hillside to Crossville and sunshine. Opening time was 12 noon which is exactly when we arrived. We noticed a couple of guys in the store who we assumed were getting ready to open up. We decided to make use of the restrooms to give them a few minutes, but when we got back they had disappeared. ... Mountain to Point Park which was built to commemorate the Battle Above the Clouds, part of the Battles of Chattanooga campaign. From here Cliff could see lots of rail tracks and trains which he was happy to sit and watch, while I just enjoyed the sunshine.

On our way back to the campsite we decided to visit the reservoir on Raccoon Mountain, and enjoy a walk along the banks of the Tennessee River.

... We decided to head back to the campsite and visit the Raccoon Mountain Caverns located at the campsite. They weren't as good as the Florida Caverns - and cost three times as much to get in! We got caught up with a film crew from AMC who were in the caverns filming a documentary, and had to keep getting out of their way.

It has been very warm again today. The days are quite hot, but the nights are really, really cold!
