Got on the road this morning about 9:45 due to some paperwork and household issues. Nice day of riding down US 72 across north Mississippi and Alabama and on into Chattanooga arriving at Davied's about 5:30 local time (Eastern time zone). Stopped for gas twice on way over and had lunch in Decatur, AL. Weather was pretty nice with some clouds and temps in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Not perfect but much better than the upper 90s ...

Cassie flew in from Palm Beach, but didn't get to Atlanta until late at night
We went to eat dinner in the city
Got lost trying to find our car - Scary!
Ended up getting Steak and Shake

Drove to Cloudland Canyon and went camping with Alicia and Matt
Beautiful mountains and views!
Hiked down the canyon to the waterfalls
Went swimming in the waterfalls
So cold but ...

Last Stop

We met up with our 10K camping friends for the final stop on our trip. We shared stories from our recent trip and enjoyed hearing about everyone else's adventures.

We did a morning walk on several hiking trails at the Chickamauga Battlefield to mix a little history in with our exercise.

Enjoyed Point Park with a group from 10K and then all met up later that evening to visit.

It was the most expensive campground too at $70. But we got a late night discount and only paid $35. Wednesday we continued east on I-90, the same road we have been on since Seattle. We've enjoyed so much good weather on this trip. There has been very little rain and even though the southern states were pretty hot the humidity levels were much lower than we're use to in Florida. Even Alaska had pleasant temperatures and little rain. We had a thunderstorm this evening that created some puddles in the campsites but it didn't stop the guys from their usual evening chill ...
