From the lookout it was hard to see much because of the fog, but Baba pointed out to me where Germany was, where the border was very close to us. ... through the snow and it felt magical (I've been using the word a lot, but it's the best way to describe) as it sprinkled onto my face. The houses all had thick layers of snow covering their roofs, where some of then the snow had slid down where they may have been cooking.
