... t go across. In Birsay was a ruined Earl's Palace which we had a quick look at then headed off for our tour of the amcient tomb - Maeshowe. We cut down through the middle of the northern part of the island, past Twatt (!), through Dounby and around Loch Harray to the site of Maeshowe near the standing stones we visited yesterday.
