... painter! These unexpected encounters are what travel memories are made of. After three hours of solid walking, we arrived in Oia and it must be said that the views along the way were breathtaking; little wonder that it is considered one of the most beautiful walks in the world. I wish the pictures could express the wonder of this place! Picture postcards at every turn. Needing a rest after such a big effort we settled in for a ...

We had an early morning start to our journey to Santorini. We caught the 7am ferry however had to be there at least an hour early for boarding which meant we were out of the door by 530am. Anita and I were like hawks nabbing a great seat for the eight hour journey on the Mediterranean Sea. The trip was comfortable enough and we managed to kill some time playing card games. Once we hit the island Anita and Jonne got in their hotel transfer and we made ...

... and Gee were supposed to have arrived at 10ish, like we had, but they'd emailed to say their flight had been delayed from Milan, so they didn't arrive at the hostel until 4am, and we had to be up 6 to get to the ferry. So they were absolutely exhausted. We got on the boat, gave Gee a Temazepam because she was still really unwell, and she slept most of the 8 hours to Santorini. When we finally arrived in Fira town, I took Gee straight to hospital where she got more antibiotics, ...
